    Safety instructions Intended use The attachments are intended for use on a multifunctional system vehicle (equipment carrier). The attachments mounted on a vehicle have been designed for use in the municipality. The sweeping system is designed exclusively for use in plant maintenance for sweeping (on hard surfaces such as asphalt, cobblestones, screed, concrete, etc.) and for transporting waste, such ase.g.

Instructed by qualified employees of the manufacturer or their authorised representatives in the handling of the ve- hicle, the attachments and the container attachments (e.g. waste container). Driving licence (the required driving licence category varies from country to country and can be obtained from the relevant authority).

    Safety instructions 1.13 Salt adhesion during winter operation If you use attachments in winter for clearing and gritting work , there is a risk of considerable salt ingress into the entire vehicle. The road salt applied (e.g. sodium chloride or calcium chloride) not only collects as massive incrustations on the entire vehicle, especially in areas closer to the road such as a sweeping system, but also penetrates into all cavities, cracks, grooves and joints on the attachments and container attachments.

    The attachments described in these operating instructions correspond to the vehicle-specific attachment specifications of Kärcher Municipal GmbH for the equipment carrier vehicle MC 150 from our company. Further information is available from your service partner. Attachments that endanger the safety or stability of the vehicle on which they are to be attached may not be used.

    Never carry out work under an unsecured, raised waste container. You can mount a tiltable waste container as a container attachment on your MC 150 vehicle. If you want to empty the waste container, drive to a suitable location and park the vehicle with the waste container attached on a level surface without a steering angle and activate the parking brake.

    Safety instructions 1.15 Cleaning Before cleaning, switch off the vehicle's engine (ignition key position 0) and remove the ignition key from the ignition lock. Only clean your vehicle, attachments and container attachments in designated areas with a suitable collection point for waste water.

    Safety instructions 1.19 Disposal | Packaging When attachments, container attachments or attachment kits have reached the end of their service life, the operator is responsible for their legally compliant disposal. For this purpose, the attachments, container attachments and attachment kits can be handed over to a legally authorised private or public company. The operator must dispose of replaced or exchanged parts and fluids on the attachments in an environmentally friendly manner in accordance with the regulations applicable at the operating location.

Check that the locking mechanism is set correctly each time you attach an implement. The locking mechanism is used to secure mounted attachments, such as e.g. sweeping system, front power lift, etc. The locking levers are located in the centre of the front mounting for attachments.

    Ex factory waste container and sweep- ing system 7.4.1 Waste container/attachment frame changeover The changeover lever is located at the front of the rear carriage, above the articulated joint. There are two different versions of the switch lever depending on the version of the vehicle. The changeover lever is used to operate the changeover valve, which switches the hydraulics between an attached waste container and a tiltable attachment frame.
