NOTE: There are two procedures
listed below. Always complete both
to ensure successful programming
of remote functions and ignition
key function. Transponder key
blank requires laser cutting for key
to start vehicle.
NOTE: One programmed remote (with
new battery) and key that starts
vehicle must be present to program
new remotes.
NOTE: Ensure all keys are present
when performing this procedure.
This procedure may erase previously
programmed keys not present during
programming. Remember which key
is original working key. If there is no
visual indication, mark original with
small piece of tape.
NOTE: A maximum of four keys can
be programmed per vehicle.

PROGRAMMING
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1:
Close all doors, trunk/liftgate, hood,
windows and sunroof (if equipped). Enter
vehicle through driver door and close it.
STEP 2:
Set switch on programmer to "Remote"
setting.
STEP 3:
Insert programming dongle into OBD-II port.
Programmer will beep and LED will flash
orange once to indicate power.
STEP 4:
Insert a working key and turn to key on,
engine off position.

STEP 5:
Listen for programmer to respond. If
programmer beeps twice and LED flashes
orange, skip to Step 9. If programmer beeps
three or more times and LED flashes red,
proceed to Step 6.
STEP 6:
Simultaneously press lock and unlock
buttons on working remote portion of key
(still in ignition) for at least one second and
then release both buttons.
STEP 7:
Wait one second. Press unlock button on
same remote for at least one second and
then release button. Vehicle will either cycle
door locks or horn will beep when new
remote is learned. Programmer will stop
beeping and flashing.
STEP 8:
Wait for programmer to enter programming
mode. Programmer will beep twice and LED
will flash orange.
STEP 9:
On new remote, simultaneously press lock
and unlock buttons for at least one second
and then release both buttons.
STEP 10:
Wait one second. Press unlock button on
new remote for at least one second and
then release button. Vehicle will either cycle
door locks or horn will beep when new
remote is learned. Programmer will beep
three times and LED will flash green to
indicate successful programming.
STEP 11:
Turn ignition off. Remove key from ignition
and programmer from OBD-II port.
