NOTE: This procedure will only
program the remote. Key blade
must be laser-cut; this may require
specialized equipment.
NOTE: One programmed remote
(with new battery) that starts the
vehicle must be present to program
new remotes.
NOTE: Read through the entire
procedure before programming.
STEP 1:
Close all doors, trunk/liftgate, hood,
windows and sunroof (if equipped). Enter
the vehicle through the driver door and
close it.
STEP 2:
Insert the programming dongle into the
OBD-II port. The programmer will beep
and the green LED will flash once
to indicate power.
STEP 3:
Turn on the vehicle hazard lights. Keep
hazard lights on for this entire procedure.
STEP 4:
Do not depress brake pedal. Push the
START/STOP button two times to cycle
ignition to the ON/ACC position.
STEP 5:
Wait for the programmer to beep once and
flash the green LED.
STEP 6:
Do not depress brake pedal. Push the
START/STOP button one time to cycle the
ignition to OFF.
STEP 7:
Wait for the programmer to beep twice and
flash the orange LED.

STEP 8:
Within 20 seconds, press the lock button on
the new remote in half-second intervals until
the vehicle's locks respond.
STEP 9:
Wait while the remote programs. This may
take up to 30 seconds. Programmer will
beep three times and flash the green LED to
indicate successful programming.
STEP 10:
Remove programmer from OBD-II port. Turn
off hazard lights.
STEP 11:
To program additional keys, repeat this
process from Step 2. Make sure to remove
the programmer for at least 30 seconds
between each programming event.
STEP 12:
Open windows, exit vehicle, close all doors
and test all functions on each remote.
Keeping all other keys at least 20 feet from
the vehicle, ensure each key starts the
vehicle. If a key does not function correctly,
repeat programming process from Step 1.
NOTE: If programming is
unsuccessful at any point, the
programmer will beep for five
seconds. Unplug the programmer,
wait 30 seconds, and begin this
procedure again from Step 1. If
problem persists, call Technical
Support at 1-866-933-2911.
