The seat can only be used with this product when the steering is completely locked by the parents using the locking button located at the upper side of the steering assembly. Press down the locking button in order to lock the steering of the wheels when the seat is to be mounted.
Remove the scooter and all the parts from the box. Set out all the parts and read the assembly instructions prior to use. Keep the packaging until assembly is complete.
This toy must be assembled by a responsible adult. Prior to use, make sure that the toy has been assembled properly. Remove all the parts that are not necessary for play before giving the toy to your child. The toy should be used with caution since skill is required to avoid falls or collisions causing injury to the user or third parties.
Use with suitable protective equipment, including a helmet, shoes, elbow, wrist, and knee protectors. Teach the child how to use it safely and responsibly.
GO•UP SPORTY comes with a connector tube which is used to fix the seat.
Assemble/set the tube according to the height of the child. For a comfortable ride, the child's feet should easily touch the footrest and the ground (see Figure 1).
Be careful to never leave the tube mounted on the deck of the scooter without the seat. Insert the connector tube into the front hole of the seat, following the correct direction of insertion to insert the screws.
Insert the screws to fix the connector tube to the seat, and tighten with the L-key in-pack (see figure 2).
Insert the connector tube with seat in the front hole of the deck between the two front wheels, following the correct direction of insertion.
Make sure the spring button is engaged and locked correctly as shown in figure 3.
Make sure the child's feet can touch the ground freely in seat mode before riding.
The handlebar of the scooter can be used as a parent handle. Insert the handle into the back hole of the seat, respecting the correct direction of insertion. Make sure the spring loaded button is engaged and locked correctly as shown in figure 4.
Steering: The child pushes with his/her feet on the ground to advance, while the child's sitting on the seat. He/she must proceed with caution at first. The parent handle can be used to accompany the child.
Insert the T-bar column into the integrated tube hole at the front of the scooter deck between the two front wheels.
Make sure the spring button "clicks" into place for scooter mode, as shown in diagram A.
GO•UP SPORTY comes with an adjustable handlebar that can be adapted to the child's height (3 positions).
To safely secure a T-bar height, the bullet should fully click into the chosen hole. Make sure that for the lowest position of the T-bar, the bullet is locked into the lowest slot (see diagram E)
Steering: GO•UP SPORTY's steering responds intuitively to the movement of the body (see diagram B):
For younger children, on flat surfaces and in straight lines, GO•UP SPORTY has a steering lock system to only go forwards and backwards for better balance and to make learning easier.
Standing on the scooter, one hand on each handle, push with one foot to move forward. Proceed with caution at the start.
Braking: A brake is located at the rear; when necessary, press down on it to slow down. Press down gradually in order to prevent skidding or loss of stability.
Shoes are mandatory, and we strongly advise the child to wear trousers and long sleeve shirts to avoid injury in the event of a fall.
Explain to the child clearly how to use the scooter before any use.
