HOW DOES IT WORK ?
Freelap timing system is based on the emission and detection of
®
electromagnetic fields and consists mainly of three elements:
CHIP
Attached to the bike, it measures time intervals between each transmitter.
TRANSMITTERS
Placed along the course, they are coded (START, LAP or FINISH) and emit
electromagnetic fields.
MYFREELAP APP
Upon crossing the FINISH transmitter, the timing data is instantly
transmitted via Bluetooth and saved on your mobile device via the
MyFreelap app. Data can also be checked and exported on a computer via
your web account on app.freelap.com.
01. ACTIVATE & ATTACH YOUR FXCHIP BLE
Charge your FxChip BLE: Connect the charger
Battery life: 100 h on use to its USB C cable. Slide the chip onto the
Charging time: 5 h charger. You can charge up to 6 chips at the
same time (or 4 with clips).
Activate your FxChip BLE: Place it vertically and shake it
horizontally. A green led confirms that the device is awake.
The FxChip BLE automatically turns off after 30 minutes without
crossing a Freelap transmitter.
Attach the FxChip BLE to the bike using the
FxMTB (velcro tape). It must imperatively be
attached to the fork of the bike, positioned
vertically and facing forward.
02. TURN ON & PLACE YOUR TRANSMITTERS
Transmitters must be minimum 0.7 second (10m) apart.
Maximum 11 transmistters on your trajectory.
Tx Track Pro
Turn on the transmitter: press the Power button for 1s.
Make short presses on the Power button to select the desired code: START / LAP
(intermediate) / FINISH. Each press of the button switches it to the next code.
Place the Tx Track Pro on the ground, on the side of the track, less than 3m from
the rider's trajectory. It is shaped like an arrow. Point the arrow perpendicularly
to the track to draw your 3 meters imaginary line of passage.
03. PLACE YOUR LED DISPLAY
(optional)
Insert the tripod into the screen's preformed slot. Place it on the
ground, from 10m to 50m maximum after the FINISH transmitter.
Turn on the screen: press the ON/OFF button.
Your FxChip BLE automatically transmits the data.
No manipulation is required.

Place your mobile device from 10m to 50m maximum after the FINISH
transmitter, at a height of approximately 1m from the ground.
If you use a Relay Coach BLE, place it at 10m after the FINISH transmitter, and at
a height of approximately 1m from the ground.
