2. DESCRIPTION
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
The Control Data 6675 Data Set Controller uses a standard Control Data B-type
cabinet (frontispiece) which holds a power supply, the multiplexer, the data channel
adaptor, a data set and up to two DSC's.
If
the maximum potential of the 6675 is
utilized,
it
will require a second cabinet holding two additional DSC' s and three data
sets.
The number of DSC' s in each 667 5 configuration is identified by a designating letter
listed below:
6675-A
6675-B
6675-C
6675-D
includes one DSC
includes two DSC' s
includes three DSC' s
includes four DSC's
The DSC' s and multiplexer are completely solid state and use plug-in printed circuit
logic cards for reliability and maintenance ease.
Figure 2-1 illustrates chassis
arrangement for a four DSC configuration.
The power supply is located at the back
of the cabinet and swings out for inspection.
The cabinet cooling system, control
wiring and temperature monitoring, and the power supply are discussed in Control
Data peripheral Controller Cabinets Customer Engineering Manual, publication
number 60097300.
The 6675 cabinet may be installed in any area that meets computer requirements.
The
6675 offers no environmental restrictions other than normal cleanliness, air circu-
lation, and accessibility.
