PREPARING YOUR RADIO Battery Meter and Low Battery Alert Indicates that the battery is fully charged. Blinks when battery is low; charge the radio or replace batteries immediately. Installing the Batteries Each radio can use either 1 Li-ion rechargeable battery pack or 3 AA alkaline batteries and beeps when the batteries are low.
Attaching and Removing the Belt Clip Attach the belt clip to the back of the radio until the clip clicks in place. 2. Attach the belt clip to pocket or belt strap until the clip clicks in place. To Remove Push the release tab on top of the belt clip to release the latch.

(MENU 03) Squelch Level Squelch Level is about when the signal is strong enough to turn on the squelch. You can hear the voice from other radios only when the squelch is turned on. Higher Level makes it harder to receive the weak signals, while Lower Level will be interfered by noises and/or unwanted signal.

In Dual Watch Mode: (1) The screen will alternate between Home Channel and Dual Watch Channel. (2) Press button to exit the Dual Watch Channel function. When you set a Channel as Dual Watch Channel, “2CH“ icon will show in the channel you selected.
