5 Electrical Installation 5.3.2 Connect multiple units When multiple units are installed in the same application, cables are connected in parallel or separately. The backplane connectors are not used when the installation includes gateways only. Connect only one HMI. 1. Connect the FOP 315 HMI cables in parallel. Terminate with a 120 ohm resistor between terminals 2 and 4 at the end that is farthest from the HMI. -
