    INTRODUCTION The all new Australian designed and manufactured Alkira Mental Health Care bed range has been designed and manufactured by Deutscher Healthcare to meet the requirements for use in all aspects of Mental Health Care including use in acute and intensive extended care psychiatric facilities.

    OPERATION INFORMATION & To raise and lower the bed or adjust the back rest (for models fitted with a back rest) 1. Wheel the battery pack (MH1010) into the room and position it close to the foot end of the bed. 2.
  • Page 5 Push down to lock Castors To unlock castors / wheels press down the green tab of the locking lever shown in the above photo. 4. Disconnect the magnetic connector from the bed socket and wheel the battery pack from the room. The battery pack is normally stored in a locked storage room, nursing station or area away from patient access.

    MAINTENANCE The Alkira Mental Health Bed range is designed with very low maintenance requirements. Monthly (Minimum recommendation)- • Visually check the power cables and plug on the battery trolley for damage – if any damage is detected the trolley should immediately be unplugged and not used until a suitably qualified maintenance person has checked or replaced the power lead.

    The Alkira bed is covered by warranty provided it is used as designed. Deutscher Healthcare will repair or replace, free of charge, any part of the steel frame that is defective in materials or workmanship (or both) for a period of 10 years from purchase date.
