Moving the Bed Before moving a bed, disconnect the power supply lead. The bed is fitted with four toe brake lock castors. Once the bed is in position, lock the wheels by pushing down the pedal on each wheel. Positioning the Bed in a Room Generally beds are positioned with the head of the bed against a wall. -

Cleaning (and disinfection) A nurse or similarly qualified person must determine when a bed needs to be cleaned. The bed should be washed down using a sponge, cloth or brush. Use ordinary household cleaning agents. When disinfecting, use only spray or wiping methods. - Page 6 • Check for damage to paintwork or significant rusting.
