2. Lift the Bracket up and slide the selected
polyfoam spacers between the top of the
radio and the Bracket.

After mounting location has been establish-
ed, peel off protective backing from the
pieces
of
foam tape
on
the top sides of the
Bracket.
4. Lift
radio
and Bracket with polyfoam
spac-
ers in place
to
desired location, making
sure
top front edge
of radio is
aligned with
front
edge
of cabinet and press
firmly
against
cabinet bottom.

5. Slowly
lower radio and polyfoam spacers. Foam
tape
will temporarily hold Bracket
in
exact
mounting position to use as a
template. Polyfoam spacers can
now
be discarded.
CAUTION: Tape is not
intended
to hold
weight of both
Bracket and radio.
Bracket must be
fastened to cabinet
with screws.
6. With a pencil, place a distinctive mark through each
of
the four Bracket screwholes.
You
may
want to start the drill holes with a nail
or
awl.
7.
Carefully
remove the Bracket from the
cabinet bottom.
Tape should remain
on
Bracket for
final installation.
CAUTION: Bracket must be removed prior to drilling
of
holes through cabinet
.
It is
recom-
mended that safety glasses be worn to prevent possible eye injury.

8. Locate and drill 1/4-inch diameter holes through underside of cabinet bottom shelf at point
marked. Be sure to hold
the
drill
very
firmly againt the
cabinet
to reduce
"walking" of
the drill bit
from the markings. HELPFUL HINT: Use
of
masking tape above hole locations on inside
of
cabinet shelf
will help reduce splintering.
NOTE: If
installing the
unit under
a wood
cabinet and
if
you have a countersink attachment for your
drill, you may wish to countersink the drilled holes from the INSIDE of the cabinet. This will eliminate the
use
of
washers and allow the
screw
heads to be flush with the floor of your cabinet. If you cannot
countersink
the holes, use the washers that are supplied.
9. Clean
drill shavings from inside and underside of cabinet.
10. Hold
the
Bracket
in
place on underside of
cabinet. Insert
Screws
FROM INSIDE
OF
CABI-
NET down
through
countersink
and drilled
holes or down
through washers and drilled
Ai6Ies.
The washers
must be
used on
metal
cabinets,
and
on wood cabinets
if
you
did
not
countersink
the drilled holes. Position
washers 'rith flat side down. "Finger
tighten"
each screw to attach
Bracket.
(Spring Clips
are attached
to
the Bracket; separate nuts
are
not necessary.)
11 . Slide
radio
onto Bracket sides and slide up so
top front of unit isjl_ush with
front
edge of cab-
inet overhang. Hold
radio
with one hand and
install Shoulder Washers and Allen-Head
Cap Screws in side screw holes of unit. (Install
washers with the larger diameter end
toward
the screw head.) Tighten with Allen Wrench.
(Do not overtighten.)

After making sure top front edge of radio is aligned evenly with front edge of cabinet
,
finish
tightening Bracket screws using a Phillips-head screwdriver until Bracket is snug
.
Extend cord towards electrical outlet and secure by using
the
Cord Hooks to hold cord out of the
way
.
For most attractive appearance, place Cord Hooks at back edge of cabinet (on or next to
wall) directl
y
over outlet to be used. To attach Cord
Hooks,
peel off adhesive back and attach to a
clean
,
dry surface on underside of cabinet or back w'all. A "Cord Wrap
"
storage area is located
on the back side of the unit for any excess cord; however, we recommend that the line cord be
fully extended for best FM reception
.
Plug Cord into 120-volt AC
electrical
outlet. To stop DISPLAY from
flashing
,
press
