Empty contents of the selected cabinet under which the unit will be mounted and clean the under-
side of the cabinet to remove any grease residue which might be present.
For convenience and visibility
,
we recommend the unit be mounted at the front edge of cabinet:
however
,
you may recess the
unit,
if desired
.
1.
Measure cabinet overhang. Select the
ex-
panded polyfoam spacers or combination
of spacers that most closely equals the cabii-
net overhang
dimensions.
If cabinet
over-
hang extends
more
than 1-½ inches from
cabinet bottom, a wood shim (a piece of
wood that fits between the cabinet and
Bracket) will -be necessary. Cut a block of
wood to the size of
the
Bracket (approxi-
mately 10-1/2 inches x 4-1/2
inches).
Make
sure the wood is at
least
as thick as the
amount of the overhang
that exceeds
1-½".
If it is necessary to use a wood shim (see Step
1), you may need to buy
longer
screws.
The
type of screws needed are 10-24 UNC Phillips
drive flat countersink head machine screws
which can be purchased at a local
hard
-
ware
store.
The length of the screws should
be 1-1/4 inches plus
the
thickness of
the
shim
used.
