    When introducing a new substrate, adding print information, or performing color matching for spot colors, create an ICC profile as necessary. When creating a print job using Epson Edge Print Label, specify an ICC profile that was created in advance to output colors that match the substrate.

    Epson Edge Print Label reads the output color chart with a color measurement device, measures the difference between the colors in the data and the color measurement results, and corrects the colors to match.     AS-4000 User’s Guide Basic Operations Basic Operations Introducing a New Substrate (First Press) In the past, service support personnel would visit the customer's site to introduce a new substrate, but by using a color measurement unit, you can introduce the substrate yourself.

    AS-4000 User’s Guide Basic Operations Loading the Substrate The new substrate is loaded into the press by connecting it to the current substrate and replacing it. This section explains how to adjust the connection between the press and the color measurement unit to the width of the substrate when replacing to a substrate of a different width.

You can import a combination of print information and ICC profile associated with the substrate number by specifying the substrate model number and the press you are importing from.

Self-diagnosis takes a few minutes. A message is displayed if the white calibration tile or the spectrum sensor module needs to be cleaned after the self-diagnosis.
