    ►EPG - Your electronic program guide Standard: EPG is an electronic program guide with its own OSD menu. EPG hereby represents the information provided by the program provider in different views extensively and clearly. Note that not all channels/program providers provide program-related information. Use the EPG button on the remote control to start your program guide.
  • Page 11 The ‘More’ mode displays program information in tabular form in chronological order. Use the Left / Right arrow buttons to navigate between a channel’s temporal program information and use the Up / Down arrow buttons to move the cursor (blue marking) in the channel list. The OK button may possibly have to be pressed if another channel was selected and you want program-related information to be displayed.

    ►Program list Call up the program list in the TV or Radio mode via the OK button on the remote control or receiver. The window of the program list can be displayed in 4 forms. How to change the view of the program list: Press the white button to change the views.
  • Page 13 If the main group ‘Favorite’ is selected in the left column, the arrangement of the favorite lists can be changed by pressing the blue button in the center column, the Up / Down arrow buttons and OK button. The following possibilities exist if the cursor is located in the left column: Red button: Displays overview of all channel lists/channel groups.

    ►Installation Menu Satellite Installation Please observe the following notes before configuration in the menu: To receive HD satellite TV, a satellite dish of at least 80 cm is required. The installation should be setup by a technician with a digital signal level measuring device. Depending on the setting you make, you will see at the bottom what level of intensity and quality that the signal has.

    The following settings can be found in this menu: NIT Search: Set here whether the NIT (Network Information Table) should be used during the search. Program Type: Specify here whether to search for TV, Radio or TV and Radio channels. Scan mode: Select here between the value All (channels) or FTA (Free to Air).

    ►Channel Menu Organizing Services In this menu you can customize your channel list or lists, for TV or Radio channels. Note: Make sure the receiver is in the correct mode. If we want to edit radio channel lists, the receiver must be in radio mode.

    Mark one or more channels in the left column by pressing the OK button . Use the red button to display an overview of all channel lists/channel groups and enable an appropriate selection. The window overview displays the list in which you currently are. The green button displays other possible options.

    Note: It is possible to unlock multiple channels simultaneously by first marking the respective channels in the channel list (left menu page) with the OK button and then carrying out steps 2-3 as explained above. How to delete a channel: Move the cursor (bar) in the channel list to the channel to be deleted.

    Organizing Favorites Your favorite lists for TV or Radio programs can be designed in this menu. Your favorite channels or stations can be organized in favorite lists and thus represent a useful extension. Standard: This menu is divided into 3 columns. The list of the available channels can be found on the left side, depending on the overview selected.

    The ‘FAV’ button enables switching of the favorite list in order to view or edit it. Press the ‘FAV’ button to display the overview of the favorite lists. Use the Up / Down arrow buttons and OK button to select the favorite list to be edited.

    How to rename a favorite list: Press the ‘FAV’ button and select the favorite list to be renamed. Now change to the central part of the menu and navigate the cursor to the ‘Rename’ symbol. The symbol is highlighted in color. Press the OK button.

    ►System Menu Language Functions and settings in the menu: Menu language: Specify the language here displaying the menu texts. Audio language: Set the audio language here for the first channel. EPG: Specify the language here in which the electronic program guide (EPG) should be displayed.

    Miscellaneous Settings Functions and settings in the menu: Auto Power Down: Here, time can be set in minutes in which the receiver should switch into standby mode (30 minutes to 3 hours). Factory setting to 3 hours. 0.5 Watt Standby: Specify here whether the receiver is switched into 0.5 watt standby mode.

    A/V Settings Functions and settings in the menu: Display Mode: Select here between the options Auto, By Native TV, 480p_60, 480i_30, 576p_50, 576i_25, 720p_60, 720p_50, 1080i_30, 1080i_25, 1080p_60, 1080p_50. Aspect ratio: Determine here the aspect ratio with which the image should be displayed (16:9, 4:3PS, 4:3LB, Auto, Full Screen).

    Time setting Functions and settings in the menu: GMT usage: By selecting «Auto» the receiver will automatically receive the current time and date (via the satellite signal). By selecting «Manual», you will be able to set the date and time yourself in the next step. GMT Offset: You only reach this point if you have set the GMT usage option to «Auto».

    Parental Control This menu can only be accessed by entering a PIN code. The factory default PIN code is: 0000. Functions and settings in the menu: Menu lock: Here you can define whether access to the menu is allowed or denied.

    ►Software Menu ►Software Upgrade Upgrade By USB Standard: This menu is accessible only if a suitable USB storage device is inserted and recognized by the receiver, or else this menu is not accessible. Another condition for «Update via USB» is to have the corresponding software file on the USB storage device.

    Attention: The software update starts immediately after pressing the OK button and must not be interrupted in any case. Note: The ‘USB Update’ menu is only accessible when a compatible USB storage device is connected and recognized by the receiver. Exit the ‘Update by USB’...

    Default Setting To access the menu and settings you will be asked for a password (factory default 0000). Functions and settings in the menu: Default Value: This option restores your receiver to its factory state by selecting «Yes» from the confirmation window. Delete individual satellites: Here we can delete a satellite or satellites that we will be selected.

    ►Media In this MENU you can manage your USB storage device and its corresponding files through the corresponding options <Record Files>, <Movies>, <Music>, <Photos>, <PVR Setting>, <Disk Manager>, <Ebook> and <USB Remove>. Note: The “Media” menu is only accessible if a suitable USB storage device is inserted and recognized by the receiver.

    ►Internet Network Setting In this menu you can configure the wired Internet connection to the receiver via the LAN port or the wireless connection via Wi-Fi using the EDISION EDI-MEGA 2 USB Wi-Fi wireless antenna (it is an independent item and is not included in the original packaging of the receiver).
