Connecting the hob to the mains Make sure that the data on the rating plate (V) matches your supply voltage. To connect the hob to the mains power supply, do not use adapters, reducers, or branching devices as they can cause overheating and fire. If the cable is damaged or needs to be replaced, this must be done by a qualified electrician with the correct tools.
