4.1 Safe Inclines The Atom Fold can climb inclines of up to 10˚ without danger. On this 10˚ incline, the Atom Fold can stop, brake and turn. It is possible to attempt steeper inclines, but we strongly suggest that you do not. To reduce the possibility of tipping backwards on inclines, lessen the load on the back of the scooter by sliding the seat forward as much as possible and leaning forward.
5 Unintentional Movement Before operating, the Atom Fold should always be stationary. When the Atom Fold is switched on, it will remain stationary until the forward and reverse lever is pushed or pulled. Do not attempt to operate the mobility scooter when standing.
8 Operating Instructions 8.1 Freewheel Lever The freewheel lever is located on the rear left of the Atom Fold. When the lever is in the lower position, the mobility scooter is in freewheel mode and can be moved freely. The mobility scooter will power on but the movement controls will not work.
When lifting and transporting the mobility scooter, removing the batteries decreases the overall weight, making it easier to carrier. Please note – the standard Atom Fold includes one lithium battery and one empty storage box. To increase the maximum range from one charge an additional battery can be purchased and stored onboard.
