2 Legal The Scooterpac Ignite Sport is designed to be operated by a single person, in accordance with the legal requirements for operating a Class 3 invalid carriage in the jurisdiction in which it was sold. Operating the vehicle outside of these limitations may invalidate your warranty.
3 Safety The Ignite Sport should only be operated by a single person, who is not suffering from any condition which impairs vision, hearing, eyesight or the ability to react to sudden changes in surroundings. If you suffer from any of the above, it is recommended that you seek advice from your doctor before operating the Ignite Sport.
3.2 Safe Inclines The Ignite Sport can climb inclines of up to 12˚ without danger. On this 12˚ incline, the Ignite Sport can stop, brake and turn. It is possible to attempt steeper inclines, but we strongly suggest that you do not. To reduce the possibility of tipping backwards on inclines, lessen the load on the back of the scooter by sliding the seat forward as much as possible and leaning forward.
4 Introduction Your Ignite Sport is a high-tech piece of mobility equipment that will give you years of faithful service and enjoyment. This manual introduces you to the operation, maintenance and care of your Ignite Sport. If you have any questions, or are unsure of anything, please contact the dealer your originally purchased the Ignite Sport from.
5.1 Intended Use The Ignite Sport is designed for use on smooth pavement or roadway, in accordance with local laws. The Ignite Sport can be used in wet and windy weather, but discretion should be used when planning a journey in adverse weather conditions.
5.2 Unintentional Movement Before boarding, the Ignite Sport should always be stationary. When the Ignite Sport is switched on, it will remain stationary until one of the following: 1. The forward or reverse lever is pulled. 2. The freewheel function is engaged.
Power On To turn on the Ignite Sport, sit in the Captains Seat and either press the ‘Unlock / Turn On’ button on the fob or the ‘Start/Stop’ button located on the tiller column (see 7.6 Starting the Ignite Sport).

The Ignite Sport is fitted with a mechanical steering column that ideally should be operated with both hands. When the Ignite Sport is stationary the steering may feel a little heavy or stiff. Steering will become lighter whilst the vehicle is in motion.
7.5 Acceleration & Braking 7.5.1 Speed Controls The Ignite Sport has several methods for controlling speed; the High and Low Speed Modes and the Max Speed Limiter. 7.5.1.1 High and Low Speed Modes The high (“H”) and low (“L”) speed modes are controlled by the H/L button. The two settings place the scooter in either a 4mph or 8mph mode.
To move forward, gently pull the green lever. The Ignite Sport will accelerate up to the maximum allowable speed set by the speed controls. To slow down or stop, release the accelerator and the scooter will stop. In an emergency the handbrake can be applied by pulling the brake handle located on the right of the handlebars.
Gently pull the red lever, and the Ignite Sport will begin to slowly move backwards. To slow down or stop, release the red lever and the scooter will stop. In an emergency the handbrake can be applied by pulling the brake handle located on the right of the handlebars.
7.6 Starting the Ignite Sport The Ignite Sport can be started once the Keyless Fob is within proximity to the scooter and the Start/Stop button is pressed (figure 9). The Ignite Sport is powered on and ready to be used after the Scooterpac welcome screen and once the digital colour displays visual data (figure 10).

7.11 Bluetooth The Ignite Sport features integrated Bluetooth connectivity and two speakers built into the tiller column. Mobile devices can be paired with the scooter to play music and audio: 1. Turn on the scooter and your mobile device’s Bluetooth 2.
To mirror the screen from your mobile phone, follow the below instructions: 1. Turn on the Ignite Sport and connect your mobile phone to the scooter via Bluetooth (see 7.11) 2. Using your mobile phone’s App Store download the EYLINK app (see figure 14) 3.
7.13 USB Charging Ports The Ignite Sport is equipped with USB Charging Ports on the right-hand side of the tiller column. Port 1 is located next to the LED light and Port 2 can be found on right hand side.
7.14 Bottle & Mobile Phone Holder For your convenience, the Ignite Sport is fitted with two plastic moulded holders. Use these locations to safely store bottled drink and your mobile phone. TOP TIP – The bottle holder should not be used to store alcoholic beverages.

7.16 Charge Port Charging the Ignite Sport can be completed by using the charge port on the tiller. The port is located on the tiller column on the right-hand side. To charge the vehicle, simply connect the supplied charge cable to the port.
The seat can then be removed by pulling directly upwards. The batteries in your Ignite Sport should not require any maintenance on a day-to-day basis, however access may be required. The batteries are located under the seat, protected by a black plastic shroud – secured by six screws.
9.3 Fuses The fuses used on the Ignite Sport are accessible through a covered hatch on the front of the tiller. To access the fuse board, simply pull down on the retaining clip and slide the cover out of place. Fuses should only be changed by professionals, as improper work may damage the Ignite Sport electrical system.
9.4 Tyre Pressures The tyres on the Ignite Sport are designed to give a good balance between comfort and energy efficiency. Incorrectly inflated tyres may lead to poor handling, reduced range and increased wear. The tyres should always have at least 3mm of tread to provide adequate grip on the road surface.
9.5.2 Paintwork To care for the paint, regularly wash the Ignite Sport using soft cloths and a mild automotive detergent. Apply automotive polish to achieve a high-shine finish. It is highly recommended that polish is applied in areas where the paintwork may be exposed to adverse weather conditions.

12 Servicing In order to ensure continued safe operation, the Ignite Sport must be serviced every 12 months. We recommend recording the servicing dates and locations on the sheets below. Always have your Ignite Sport serviced at an authorised Scooterpac dealer, using original Scooterpac parts.
