GETTING STARTED HANDLE AND TUBE ASSEMBLY The BDSV1 is designed to be used as a hand vacuum (without the tube) or as a stick vacuum (with the tube and with or without the floor nozzle). Follow the directions below to assemble the vacuum for desired use.
GETTING STARTED TUBE ASSEMBLY Slide the tube assembly into the top of the main vacuum as shown. Rotate the bottom Cord Wrap so that it snaps into place on the blue tube bracket.
GETTING STARTED FLOOR NOZZLE To use the vacuum with the floor nozzle please follow the directions below. Take the main vacuum and position it as shown. Slide the vacuum onto the floor nozzle as shown.
USING YOUR BDSV1 Plug Power Cord into a polarized outlet. Press the Power Switch to Turn Vacuum ON ( I ). To extend the crevice tool, pull from the tab.
STORING YOUR BDSV1 Press the Power Switch to Turn Vacuum off ( O ). Loop the power cord around the bottom and top cord wrap brackets. Clip the molded plug to the power cord to secure. WARNING: To avoid injury, turn vacuum OFF and unplug cord from wall...
MAINTENANCE CLEANING DUSTBIN AND FILTERS NOTE: Empty your dustbin and clean filters regularly to ensure optimal perfor- mance. Turn Vacuum off (O). Then unplug vacuum. To remove dirt from the dust cup and filter, hold the vacuum vertically. Depress the Dustbin Removal Latch to release the dust cup as shown.

MAINTENANCE Empty Dustbin contents into trash. The HEPA filter can be tapped gently to dislodge fine dust and then rinsed under cold water. Allow to FULLY dry before re- assembling. Replace the filter assembly into the top of the dustbin and push down to secure.
