Disable Wireless Zero
Windows XP has a built-in program, Wireless Zero Configuration,
for managing the wireless adapter. However, it is recommended
that you use the SMC2835W utility program to manage your
adapter. If your OS is Windows XP, follow these steps to disable
the Wireless Zero Configuration.
1. Go to Start/Control Panel/Network Connections.
2. Right-click on the wireless network connection, and select
Properties.
3. Go to the Wireless Networks tab, and make sure that the
check box for Use Windows to configure my wireless network
settings is not checked.
