    (if installing knobs). Our screw heads are Philips head 6mm / 1/4” and 8mm / 5/16”. Please make sure your screw bits fits this size. IKEA Besta hinges and screws according to the IKEA installation guide (number of screws & hinges will vary depending on the size of your cabinet).
  • Page 5 - PA G E 2 - STEP ONE Lay the cabinet on its back on the floor, preferably on a rug or towel to prevent it getting scratched.
  • Page 6 - PA G E 3 - STEP TWO SIDES Working with one panel at a time, align the side panels so that the top, back and bottom edges align flush with the IKEA frame. You will notice that our side panel protrudes from the frame at the side where the doors will be positioned - this is correct and ensures that once the doors are fixed, they will align flush...
  • Page 7 - PA G E 4 - STEP THREE SIDES Use clamps to hold the side panel against the side of the IKEA frame for proper installation. We recommend using a cloth or applicable protection in between the clamp and the frame to prevent panels from scratching.
  • Page 8 - PA G E 5 - STEP FOUR SIDES Using the frame’s pre-made holes for shelves and following the numbered holes in both thefront and back of the frame, as illustrated, screw in the 30mm / 1 3/16” screws from the inside until the screws grip the sidepanel tightly.
  • Page 9 - PA G E 6 - STEP FIVE Measure approximately 5cm / 2” away from each inside top corner. Using the 4mm / 3/16” drill bit, drill a guide hole for the screw that will fix the top to the frame.
  • Page 10 - PA G E 7 - STEP SIX Align the Fronteriors top panel perfectly with the rear top and side edges of the attached Fronteriors side panels.
  • Page 11 - PA G E 8 - STEP SEVEN CLAMPS Use clamps to hold the top against the top of the IKEA frame for proper installation. We recommend using a cloth or applicable protection in between the clamp and the frame to prevent panels from scratching.
  • Page 12 - PA G E 9 - STEP EIGHT CLAMPS Using the holes that you made in the previous step, screw in the supplied 40mm / 1 9/16” screws from the inside until they grip the top panel leaving no gap between the frame and the panel.

  • Page 14 - PA G E 11 - STEP TEN Lay the door face down on a protective surface to avoid damage. Insert the Besta hinges into the pre-drilled hinge holes and screw them in until well secured.

    - PA G E 13 - HINGE ADJUSTMENT Use the illustration above to adjust your doors up/down, in/out or left/right. If you have chosen for a Fronteriors top, only adjust the hinges when the top has been installed.

    - PA G E 14 - HARDWARE KNOBS Our doors do not have pre-drilled holes for knobs. Once you have selected the position of your knob(s), drill a guide hole from the front side of the door, using the 4mm drill bit. If you have a piece of scrap wood available, hold it tightly at the back of the door for the drill to continue into.
