IKEA frames into something that reflects your personal style. Fronteriors was established as a DIY concept and this guide will help both home enthusiasts and professionals complete an easy installation. We love seeing your finished cabinets,...
Recommendations in this manual are provided for informational purposes only. Fronteriors can guarantee the efficacy of the instruction provided in this manual, as unforeseen variables - such as existing wall, ceiling and flooring conditions, integrated custom elements, and alternative designs - may render some suggestions not applicable.
- PA G E 2 - GUIDELINES FOR YOUR IKEA INSTALLATION TO ENSURE A SMOOTH FRONTERIORS INSTALLATION IKEA should install their plinths with the frames – our plinths will be applied over them. IKEA legs should be fixed at 8cm height – if not, our side panels may not fit correctly.
Page 6
- PA G E 3 - Ideally, there should be no floor skirting in place wherever base cabinets will be installed against a wall. If skirtings are there, they should be less than 8cm. If the frame legs are adjusted to fit over skirtings, side panels may not fit correctly.
Read and understand all assembly instructions before you start the installation of your project. Keep a copy of these guidelines and instructions for future reference. Failure to follow (IKEA or Fronteriors) instructions may result in property damage, bodily harm. Read and understand all safety instructions associated with the necessary tools for your project.
- PA G E 5 - CARE & CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS PRECAUTIONARY ACTIONS Ensure all surfaces / components remain dry at all times any liquid should be wiped off immediately Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. Make sure appliances - especially dishwashers - are correctly installed and insulated.

Page 13
- PA G E 1 0 - STEP THREE Use clamps to hold the side panel against the side of the IKEA frame for proper installation. We recommend using a cloth or applicable protection in between the clamp and the frame to prevent panels from scratching.

NOTE IKEA plinth should be installed by IKEA when frames are installed. Fronteriors plinths are designed to be installed over the IKEA plinth. The plinths are made to a standard size of 220cm x 8cm (W x H in cm) and need to be cut to size on site.
Page 39
- PA G E 3 6 - STEP ONE Measure the base for the length of the plinth needed. We recommend that where cut joints are required, these should align with the vertical line between doors/drawers.
Page 40
STEP TWO Before cutting, we recommend using a strip of masking tape on the area of the plinth where you will cut . This helps to avoid any paint chips. Trim the Fronteriors plinth according to t he measurement you require.

- PA G E 4 7 - HARDWARE KNOBS Our doors do not have pre-drilled holes for knobs. Once you have selected the position of your knob(s), drill a guide hole from the front side of the door, using the 4mm drill bit. If you have a piece of scrap wood available, hold it tightly at the back of the door for the drill to continue into.
