Device configuration
The device configuration involves connection settings which have to be carried out once
when the system is installed and/or in the case of subsequent system upgrades.
Activate the relevant upgrade.
Store the modified settings with "Return".
Press the ESC button or the 4 button to quit the menu without making a change.
Shut-down timer
Setting of the after-running time for the navigation computer (sensible e.g. for short
intermediate stops). The currently planned route remains stored and the navigation
computer is operational again without a start-up phase immediately after the ignition
is switched on.
Set the required after-running time between 1 and 10 minutes.
Store the modified settings with "Return".
Press the ESC button or the 4 button to quit the menu without making a change.
The device will shut down completely after the set period.
System information
The following options are available in the "System information" menu:
Diagnosis: Code-protected menu for installation and service purposes.
Default settings: Resets the user-specific settings to the factory values.
You can find an overview of the default settings in the appendix on Page 50.
Configuration: Display of unit identification and hardware and software versions for
service purposes.
Speed correction: The navigation system uses an average cruising speed to calculate
the remaining travel time and the estimated time of arrival. If required, you can adapt
this speed to your actual average speed. However, we do not recommend you deviate
significantly from the standard value of 100%.
Info points
Activation/deactivation of the messages concerning C-IQ info points (e.g. tourist attrac-
tions, permanent radar installations and speed traps). Also see the "Info Points function"
paragraph in the "C-IQ – Intelligent Content On Demand" section, Page 47.
Activate or deactivate "Alert near points of interest" by pressing the OK button.
An audible message can also be activated by pressing the OK button twice.
If the audible message is activated, a loudspeaker symbol is displayed.
Store the modified settings with "Store".
Select "C-IQ" to get contact information for your C-IQ Service Centre or to make
contact directly (only with connected telephone upgrade).
