IF USING FOR SUCCESSIVE CYCLES
- Cappuccino Function: For reasons of efficiency (temperature and quality of froth) and hygiene, if you want to heat quantities of milk several times in a row, we advise that you rinse the inside of the pot under cold water, in order to prevent the formation of a skin of milk in the bottom of the jug.
- Caffe Latte Function: In order to ensure that this recipe works well, take care to clean the inside of the pot between each use in order to remove the skin of milk which forms there, and use cold milk straight out of the fridge.
THE VARIOUS PREPARATIONS
This appliance allows milk to be heated and/or frothed in three different ways to obtain different froths and temperatures. We can use pasteurised (fresh) milk or UHT, skimmed, semi-skimmed or whole milk, either from the refrigerator or at room temperature. The use of special milks such as micro filtered (which has more bacteria filtered out than pasteurised), unpasteurised, fermented (such as buttermilk) and enriched, may give less satisfactory results especially in terms of the quality of the froth.
However we recommend that you use very fresh milk or that has only been opened recently. For each preparation, the maximum amount of milk is indicated by a raised line inside the jug and the minimum level is when the liquid covers the emulsifier.
Cappuccino
50% hot milk
50% frothed milk
Min. temperature: 70°C
Max. quantity of milk: 150 ml
Preparation: Check that the emulsifier is fitted.
- Pour in the milk but do not fill above the maximum level (150 ml), but ensure that the emulsifier is covered by using a minimum amount of 50 ml.
- Press the
button. The button will light up and the appliance will start operating automatically. - The motor starts intermittently and then operates at low speed.
- When the preparation reaches the ideal temperature, the motor accelerates to froth the milk.
- When the button light switches off: your preparation is ready to be served at the ideal temperature and mixture made from an approximate proportion of 50% milk and 50% froth.
- Serve the frothed milk into a cup then add your espresso or coffee to the preparation.
Caffe Latte
80% hot milk
20% frothed milk
Min. temperature: 70°C
Max. quantity of milk: 225 ml
Preparation: Check that the emulsifier is fitted.
- Pour in the milk but do not fill above the maximum level (225 ml), but ensure that the emulsifier is covered by using a minimum amount of 50 ml.
- Press the
button. The button will light up and the appliance will start operating automatically. - The motor starts intermittently and then operates at low speed.
- When the preparation reaches the ideal temperature, the motor accelerates.
- When the button light switches off: your preparation is ready to be served at the ideal temperature and a proportion of milk and frothed milk of around 80/20.
- Serve the frothed milk into a cup then add your espresso or coffee to the preparation.
Hot milk
>90% hot milk
Min. temperature: 80°C
Max. quantity of milk: 300 ml
Preparation: Check that the emulsifier is fitted.
- Pour in the milk but do not fill above the maximum level (300 ml), but ensure that the emulsifier is covered by using a minimum amount of 50 ml.
- Press the
button. The button will light up and the appliance will start operating automatically. - The motor starts intermittently and then its speed automatically adapts to the volume of milk to be heated.
- When the button light switches off: your preparation is ready to be served at the ideal temperature (hotter than the Cappuccino and the Café Latte preparations – around 10°C more). The result obtained generally has a proportion of froth of less than 10%.
- Serve the hot milk into a suitable cup.
