To clean and oil a Bernina 1008 sewing machine:
1. Cleaning: - Remove the bobbin, bobbin case holder, and open the machine. - Use a brush, toothbrush, or earbud to remove dust and lint, avoiding pushing debris further inside. - Pay attention to areas where thread may get caught, such as the take-up lever. - Remove the bottom and back covers to clean inside if needed.
2. Oiling: - Apply oil where metal rubs on metal, such as the take-up area joints. - One drop of oil should be placed on the rotating part inside the machine. - Dab excess oil with a cloth. - Avoid over-oiling, as opinions on oiling frequency vary.
Regular maintenance can prevent the machine from struggling or jamming.

I went to oil my machine and the on/off knob flew off and the components of the spring loaded on/off/light knob went flying. I have all the components, but cannot work out how they go back together. Can anyone help. Just a photo of this area, with the side taken off would be great help
