    1. Introduction 1.1. Main features of the transceiver The transceiver is equipped with an output control joystick, which exactly reproduces the functions of the original Volvo IPS joystick. On the transceiver are also present the following control buttons: Power on / off. Bow and Stern thrusters.

    For your safety do not try to open the transceiver or remove the battery. These operations may cause damages to the battery and to the transceiver, cause injuries and make the transceiver unsafe. In case of failures and malfunctions contact an authorized Yacht Controller dealer. ATTENTION: It is necessary to do a full recharge of the transceiver at least once a month.

    This must not worry because, thanks to the communication protocol safety, it is not possible that the system accepts wrong commands. Also, in the nearby presence of other Yacht Controller devices, operating at the same time on adjacent boats, improper activations are not possible because the transceivers continuously modify the communication frequency with the receivers.

    3.2. Activation procedure DANGER: Before using Supremo carefully read chapter 2 "Important rules before use". • Start the main engines in accordance with the usual procedure. • Enable the control head connected to the Supremo receiver by pressing the “Station” button with the levers in the neutral position.

This last signal, characterized by a beep about every two seconds, shows that there is the connection between the receiver and the transceiver and that the system, not yet operational, is waiting for the engagement.

Deactivation procedure • To regain control from the control station connected to the Supremo receiver, move the right control head lever slightly, then immediately return it to the neutral position.     4. Use of the Joystick DANGER: The use of the Supremo system is reserved to adults with of a boat license and equipped with all the necessary requirements to drive a vessel.     4.2 Exclusive activation of the bow/stern thrusters IMPORTANT: These buttons (see picture 1, buttons 6 7 8 e 9) are always active to allow small and quick variations without the delay of the engines. To activate the right bow thruster excluding the engines, keep pressed button 6.

    10 sec. 5 sec. If you desire a customized profile, it is possible to ask it to Yacht Controller, with a surcharge on the standard price. The percentage of acceleration is meant relatively to the maximum rpm of the engines and is reached, depending on the current profile, in the estimated time.
  • Page 22: Dynamic Positioning (Optional)

    This is an optional function, which means it may not be installed on your system. If you wish to implement it, request it at a surcharge from Yacht Controller. To activate the function, press and hold the Joystick button for more than 3 seconds. Activation is signaled by the blinking of the green and yellow LEDs located between the anchor winch activation buttons (see figure 1).

    4.5. Hold function Move the boat sideways using only bow and stern thrusters, in order to keep the boat close to the dock so that even a single person can easily manage the mooring maneuver. IMPORTANT: This function can only be used on boats equipped with proportional stern and bow thrusters.

    If the battery gets completely exhausted, it will be necessary to replace it at the Yacht Controller laboratories. IMPORTANT: In case of non-compliance with the rules of use, the battery replacement WILL NOT BE COVERED BY WARRANTY.

    If the transceiver is turned on when it falls into the water, it may have irrevocable damage. Before using it again TEST IT COMPLETELY TIED UP AT DOCKSIDE OR IN A SECURE AREA.
