Section 1 Pump Troubleshooting
Results
1. If pressurized water flows correctly discontinue
testing.
2. If pressurized water does not flow correctly,
replace the nozzle.
Test 6 – Checking for Air Leaks at the
Pump Water Inlet
Procedure
1. Turn off the water supply to the pump.
2. Remove the water supply hose and check the seal.
3. Visually inspect the rubber seal on the hose inlet
connector for cuts, abrasions or deformation.
Results
1. If the seal is damaged or worn it should be
replaced.
2. If the seal is good reconnect supply hose and refer
to flow chart
Problem 3 – Line
Test 7 – Check or Replace Valves On
Axial and Triplex Pumps.
NOTE: See

1-1. There are two types of check
valves used. Each check valve has a different procedure.
Identify the type of valve, you are servicing. Follow the
removal procedures described below.

NOTE: Each check valve (Type A and B) has a unique
cap. These caps are NOT interchangeable between the
two types of check valves. Verify that the correct cap is
used with the valve during reassembly.

Check Valve Removal- Current Valve (Type A)

NOTE: See
used on the check valves without a hole in the center of
the valve. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to carefully
remove the valve.

1. Screw a 1/8" diameter machine screw approxi-
mately 3 inches long into the hole in the top of the
valve.

2. Using a pair of pliers, grab onto the machine screw
and pull upwards.

1. Turn the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.
2. Turn off the water source to the unit.
