- Page 22 TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS NORMAL OPERATING SOUNDS • You may hear a pinging noise caused by water being picked up and thrown against the condenser on rainy days or when the humidity is high. This is normal, unit is equipped with a slinger blade which scoops up the water from the drain pan and throws it onto the coils for better efficiency.
