The imageRUNNER 1643 Series supports Local Content Delivery System, which requires that a Local CDS server is installed at the customer site and on the same network as the device.

This replaces the need for additional hardware or dongles to activate new software. The LMS is a server-based software license program. All purchased software application packages contain a license access number certificate with the documentation.
