  • Page 4 1. INCLUDED IN DELIVERY Check that the device packaging has not been tampered with and make sure that all contents are present. Before use, ensure that there is no visible damage to the device or accessories and that all packaging material has been removed. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Services address.

WARNING AND SAFETY NOTES WARNING • Y ou must have your hearing checked by a doctor or qualified h earing care professional before using the hearing amplifier.
  • Page 8 • In the event of an existing or previous ear problem, you should consult your doctor before using the hearing amplifier. • The device must NOT be used for patients su ering from an ear inflamma- tion or infection. • Do NOT use the hearing amplifier if you are su ering from an inflammation of the middle ear or ear canal.
  • Page 9 - Sudden, significant decrease in hearing ability. • If parts of the hearing amplifier become stuck in the ear, seek medial atten- tion immediately. Do not attempt to remove the parts yourself. • At first, set the volume to a low setting and increase it gradually once you have become accustomed to the hearing amplifier.
  • Page 10 • Keep the hearing amplifier, the accessories and the batteries away from children, as there is a risk of injury and choking. • This device is NOT intended for use by people (including children) with restricted physical, sensory or mental skills or a lack of experience and/ or a lack of knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person who has responsibility for their safety or they receive instructions from this person on how to use the device.

  • Page 12 • Do NOT use the hearing amplifier together with a mobile phone. (The radio waves of the mobile phone may cause background noise or a loss of volume.) • Do NOT wear the hearing amplifier while applying cosmetics (e.g. make-up, hairspray, perfume or sun cream).
  • Page 13 • Service your hearing amplifier at regular intervals. M ake sure there a re no foreign objects between the earplug and earpiece, as this could impair the sound. 4. INTENDED USE The hearing amplifier is only to be used to help people to hear better. The device is only intended for the purpose described in these instructions for use.
  • Page 14 6. INITIAL USE Remove the hearing amplifier from the packaging and check that the device and all accessories are included and not damaged. 1. Open the battery compartment on the hearing amplifier as shown. Remove the protective film from the button cell battery included in delivery (type 13/PR48) and insert the battery into the battery compartment shown after 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Page 15 Make sure not to insert the earplug too deeply into the ear canal. If the earplug is not properly in place or feels uncomfortable, try a di erent earplug. 2. Move the On/O switch to “I” to switch on the hearing amplifier. Use the volume control to adjust the volume to the desired level so that you can hear sounds clearly and distinctly.
  • Page 16 • Please always treat the product with care and prevent the earplug acoustic opening from becoming obstructed with foreign matter. This impairs the function of the sound amplification. • Clean the hearing amplifier and the earplugs with a clean, dry cloth after each use.
