Product Information

The DEFENDER™ Theft Deterrent Locking Cube is built to secure valuables. It will accommodate most standard size laptops, documents and small electronics. This product is intended for basic protection only. It is not intended to be used as furniture and will not support excessive weight. This will void warranty.

Setup

The customizable code lock can be programmed to any four digit combination.

To set code lock:

1. Set the lock combination to the preset code of 0-0-0-0.
2. Turn the lever to the 12 o'clock (vertical) position and open the drawer.
3. Turn the lever back to the 3 o'clock (horizontal) position.
4. Turn the knob on the back of the lock to "Set Code".
5. Set the dials on the front of the lock to your personalized combination. When you have entered your desired code, return the knob back to the "On" position.
   
   Record and store this combination in a safe place. Once the dial is turned to "On" the combination is set to your code. The lock cannot be unlocked or reset without this code. Homedics will not be responsible for any lost or misplaced codes.
6. The lock combination is now set to your personalized code.

The cable tether can be utilized for added security.

To attach cable tether:

1. Open the cube's door.
2. Unscrew the knob on the bottom right of the cube.
3. The cable is to be utilized to lock/secure drawer for security.
4. Feed one looped end of tether through the looped end to secure it to the desired object.
5. Feed the end of the tether through the opening on the rear right side of the cube.
6. Place the loop of the tether over the raised plastic where the knob was.
7. Reattach the knob by screwing it back in. This will secure your locking cube to the object.

The shelf can be adjusted to three different heights.

To adjust the shelf:

1. Pull shelf out of the cube.
2. Slide shelf back in so it is resting on the ledges at the desired height.

Operation

Usage

To open drawer:
To open the drawer, turn the code lock to the correct combination. The factory setting for the combination will be 0-0-0-0.
Turn the black lever to the 12 o'clock (vertical) position and open the drawer.

To lock door:
To lock, close the drawer and turn the black lever to the 3 o'clock (horizontal) position. Then turn any of the dials to digits other than the combination.

Cleaning

The locking cube can be cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth. Be sure to remove all items from the drawers before cleaning.
