For mounting on the pallet and handling the pump, screwed profiles (see Figure 2: Handling profile) are designed from the bottom, which are unscrewed when mounted at the installation site.

  • Page 16 heat pumps AIR / WATER Do not place the unit in the path of wind, where it would be subjected to strong wind gusts. Such placement reduces the effectiveness of ventilators, which worsens the effectiveness of the heat pump and prolongs the period required for defrosting of evaporate.

  • Page 18 heat pumps AIR / WATER 6.4 Drainage of condensate If the recommended installation design for the foundation below the exterior unit of the heat pump is followed, then this will ensure the drainage of condensate that has formed on the evaporator into the floor area and will minimise freezing in the surroundings of the heat pump (see Figure 8).

  • Page 22 12 Preparation of electrical connection Prior to installing the ACOND® heat pump, the client shall secure the JYTY-O 2x1 cable line from the control box or interior unit to the room unit C-ID in the reference location.
  • Page 23 All accumulation units and service water storage tanks must have electrical connections with the grounding conductor (PE). 13 Installation of the Acond heat pump  Installation of the heat pump must be in accordance with chapter 2.1.4 .  Fasten the Electric distributor PRO-E, Hydromodul or place the Hydrobox to a technical room that fulfills the requirements stated in chapter 11 .
  • Page 24 heat pumps AIR / WATER 13.1 Hydrobox installation The hydrobox is divided into two assemblies because of transportation purposes. At the installation place, it is necessary to connect the bottom and upper assembly together. In order to connect both assemblies you must take off the side and front panels and use M4 bolts, see Figure 13 for dedicated holes highlighted by the red circles.
  • Page 25 13.2 Accumulation tank installation The Acond heating system can be fitted with a stainless steel container for accumulating heating water or a stainless steel domestic hot water tank (vessels), which must be installed and operated in accordance with the instructions in this documentation.
  • Page 26 heat pumps AIR / WATER galvanized pipes must be electrically separated from the stainless steel container. The best way is a transition from copper or galvanized pipes to plastic before the actual connection to the container. There must not be an electrically conductive connection between the copper or galvanized pipe and the stainless steel container under any circumstances.
  • Page 27 AIR / WATER  The new anode can be purchased directly from Acond. The anode rod must be designed for use in stainless steel containers.  If the stainless steel vessel has an electronic anode, it must be designed for stainless steel containers, the type of anode must correspond to the size of the container and must be accompanied by a separate installation and operating manual.
  • Page 28 When putting the heat pump into operation, it is necessary to set correctly all of the parameters specified herein. Putting of the heat pump into operation by an Acond technician will be billed according to the company's rates. Risk of equipment damage if serviced improperly!

  • Page 37 heat pumps AIR / WATER After checking the DHW heating, switch the three-way valve to heating and wait again for at least 5 minutes to show that the heating system is functioning. If the temperature in the storage tank is lower than approx. 25 ° C, the circulation pump is not running into the system, therefore test it in the manual mode.
