  • Page 21 CHAP.07 POSITIONING AND CONNECTIONS FOR THE INSTALLER WARNING The device must be installed and used in accordance with all local and national laws and EC Regulations. The installer is directly liable for all electrical system parts, generation hook-up to the system, ventilation and the fume exhaust system.
  • Page 22 For appliances where exhausts that are not coaxial to the flue gas outlet must be reached, changes in direction must be achieved by using 45° open elbows or an elbow with a direction no greater than 90° to the vertical (Fig. 1). The use of counter slope elements is forbidden.The flue union must have a constant section and allow soot to be collected and swept away.
  • Page 23 07.3 ASSEMBLY SEQUENCE Install the fireplace as follows: The insert can be installed on an existing fireplace or built ex novo with a suitable casing. A) INSTALLATION IN A PRE-EXISTING FIREPLACE Prepare the air intakes as indicated below according to the type of chosen combustion air intake. 1a) Combustion air intake from inside the installation room.

To prevent heat loss, it is recommended to insulate the fireplace before fitting in place using the insulating material supplied. Position the collar on the fireplace, pulling down on bar C (Fig. 3-4).
