Chapter 11 Maintenance Screens

11.8 Shutdown

Click the Maintenance link in the Navigation panel and then click the Shutdown link or the
Shutdown tab to access the Maintenance > Shutdown screen.
Use this screen to turn off the NSA or perform a software restart. A software restart is faster
than turning the NSA off and then turning it on again. Before shutting down or restarting,
check the System Status > Active Sessions screen to make sure that no one is logged into the
NSA or transferring files to or from the NSA.

When you click the Restart button a pop-up screen will appear asking you to confirm. Click
OK to continue or Cancel to quit the restart.

DESCRIPTION
Type the location of the firmware file you want to upload
Click Browse to find the file on your computer
Click Upgrade to upload the new firmware. The NSA automatically
restarts after you upgrade. Wait until the restart completes before
accessing the NSA again. If you interrupt the upgrade, then the NSA may
become unusable.
Click Reset to begin configuring this screen afresh.
DESCRIPTION
Click Restart to have the device perform a software restart.
Click Shutdown to shut down the system and restart it again later.
