Please make sure that the piece of equipment
your microphone will be connected to fulfills the
safety regulations in force in your country and is
fitted with a ground lead.

Check that the package contains all the parts list-
ed above. If anything is missing, please contact
your AKG dealer.
• Rugged miniature dynamic gooseneck micro-
phone for instrument miking on stage.
• Frequency response designed specifically for
wind instruments and large toms.
• Fixed windscreen for effective suppression of
wind noise.
• Rubber coated clamp for secure attachment to
instruments.
• Transducer shock mount reduces handling and
cable noise.
• Frequency-independent hypercardioid polar
response for high gain before feedback.
The D 409 is a miniature, hypercardioid dynamic
microphone. It has been designed specifically for
direct attachment to wind instruments and toms
14 inches in diameter or larger for close-in miking.
A rugged, rubber coated clamp will keep the
microphone securely in place. A 4.5-inch
(115-mm) gooseneck allows you to align the
