CD903TF Product Design

  • This manual is specifically for the CD903TF/CD903 model and is not applicable for others makes or models. Basic functions of these two models are the same, except CD903 has no FM or Bluetooth function.
  • This manual (including the colors, size, screen display and other features) is for reference only and contains no guarantees or agreements.

Boot Steps

  1. Open the lid.
  2. Place the CD to teh rotator and close the lid.
  3. Switch the HOLD to OFF
  4. Hold the power button for 3 seconds
  5. Plug in earphones
  6. Adjust Volume

Tip:

  • When the HOLD button is in ON position, all functionality buttons are locked. When the HOLD button is in OFF position, CD Player can be used normally.
  • The screen will turn off after 30 seconds of inactivity as a screen saver function. Press any button to reactivate.
  • Please do not use discs with severe scratches, fingerprints, or dirt. It might cause failure to read and CD Player itself, or affect the service life of laser head.

Basic Function Introduction (CD903/CD903TF)

Note: This intro duction use CD903 as example.

  1. ON/OFF
    • Hold 3 seconds to turn on
    • Hold 3 seconds to turn off
  2. Pause/Play

    • Press to pause and resume
  3. Previous track/Rewind

    • Press one time to replay the current track
    • Press twice to find the previous
    • Hold to rewind
  4. Next Track/Fast Forward

    • Press to find the next track
    • Hold to fast forward
  5. Play mode

    • CD903: Press M to switch play mode
    • CD903TF: Press to switch play mode
      1 Single track play
      ALL All tracks play in order
      DIR Only MP3 CD
      INTRO Plays the first few seconds of each track
      SHUF Shuffle play
  6. EQ Sound effect mode

    • CD903: Press EQ to switch sound effect mode
    • CD903TF: Press to switch sound effect mode
      EQ mode: BBS→ POP→ JAZZ→ ROCK→ CLASSIC
  7. MP3 Track Play
    • CD903: Double press EQ to select MP3 track for playing
    • CD903TF: Double press to select MP3 tracking for playing
  1. RESET
    Basic Function Introduction - Step 6
    1. In case functions fail to operate normally, Press the reset button with a needle to shut down.
    2. Reboot: Hold for restart

Bluetooth Function Introduction(CD903TF)

Before connecting with Bluetooth, please turn on the Bluetooth device that needs to be connected, and turn off other devices that do not need to be connected to avoid interferences;
In some cases some products may not be able to pair with this CD Player due to Bluetooth compatibility difference, please use the Audio Cord in the product accessories to connect. When a car stereo is not connecting, you can choose to use the FM transmitter to connect;
When connecting a Bluetooth device, please unplug the headset, Bluetooth and headset cannot output audio at the same time;
FM radio and Bluetooth cannot be used at the same time.

  1. Bluetooth speaker/headset Connection:

    1. When CD Player is on, hold to turn on Bluetooth;
    2. When is flickering, the devise is ready to connect;
    3. Turn on the Bluetooth speaker/headset to enter pairing mode;
    4. Once connected, will stop flickering, The connection processmay take 20s~60s.
  2. Car Bluetooth connection:

    1. When CD Player is on, hold to turn on Bluetooth;
    2. When is flickering, the devise is ready to connect;
    3. Turn on car Bluetooth, find the devise"HOTT-CD" and match the connection automatically, Some car Bluetooth requires a PN code(which is initially 000000 and can be changed later);
    4. Once connected, will stop flickering.
  3. Exit Bluetooth mode:

    1. Hold until the icon disappear.

FM launching mode introduction(CD903TF)

The FM mode is only suitable for cars with FM function;
CD Player supports 5 fixed frequency points: F87:5、F88:1、F89:1、F90:5、F95:5;
FM and Bluetooth cannot be used at the same time.

  1. Car FM Connection:
    FM launching mode introduction - Step 1
    1. When CD Player is on, hold to turn on FM connection;
    2. Hold to switch frequency point: F87:5、F88:1、F89:1、F90:5、F95:5;
    3. Adjust the frequency of car tuner to the same frequency of the CD Player for connection;
      For example: adjust the frequency of both car equipment and CD Player to F90:5MHz and play music.
    4. Press to Pause/Play, press to replay the current track, press twice to find the previous track, Press to find the next track. (Only supports track switching or pause and play on the CD Player itself, not on receiving device.)
  2. Exit FM mode:

    • When FM mode is on, hold to end FM connection mode.

Charging Instruction

warning Attention:
The power adaptor for the equipment: the voltage and power should be controlled under 5V1A by USB. Adaptor with its voltage over 9V will damage the equipment.

  1. When is visible, the charge is low and a power source is needed for further use.
  2. Adaptor with 5V and 1A is recommended. The USB provided works for charging.
    The light turns red when charging
    The light turns blue when the charge is completed(after 3-4 hours).

Common trouble shooting solutions

Trouble Possible reason Solution

Failure to turn on

Check if the HOLD is switched to ON Switch HOLD to OFF for unlocking
The equipment is low on power Use the USB we provided to recharge (the adaptor with the voltage and power of 5V1A)

Failure in recognizing the discs

Check if the CD is seriously scraped, scratched, or otherwise damaged Change the disc
Check if the format is compatible with the equipment Change to a CD that is compatible with the equipment

Low volume

Check if the earphones are properly connected Plug in earphones or change to other earphones
Check the volume level Adjust if needed by pressing VOL+

Failure to charge

Check that the USB interface and USB code are in good condition Change to other USB codes

Failure in connection with Bluetooth

Check to ensure that all equipment is available for pairing Both equipment need to be available for pairing
Distance exceeds the effective distance of Bluetooth connection Get closer and reconnect

FM connection is weak or fails

Check if the car equipment is set to the same frequency with the CD Player Change to same frequency and try again
There are distractors around Switch direction

Buttons are not functional

Check if the button HOLD is switched to ON Switch HOLD to OFF for unlocking

Stops or automatically turns off when playing

Check if the play mode is ALL tracks play in order The CD Player will turn off automatically once the list is completed

Tracks get skipped when playing

Check if the play mode is set to INTRO Reset the play mode to ALL tracks play in
Check if the discs are dirty or damaged Change the disc

Failure to turn off

Check if you have pressed for over 3 seconds Press RESET to restart

HOLD on the screen

The equipment is locked Switch HOLD to OFF for unlocking

Error on the screen

Device crashes or the disk reader is stuck Press RESET to restart
OPEN on the screen The lid is not well closed Close the lid
UP on the screen Operations have no effect Press RESET to restart
DISC on the screen The equipment fails to recognize the disc Inspect and replace disc
On the screen The equipment is low on power Use the provided chargers for recharging

Safety


Please read carefully and follow the notes for optimal use of the CD Player.

  • Do not put heavy objects on top of the CD Player and protect it from impact.
  • Do not place CD Player close to strong magnetic fields or electric fields.
  • Do not expose battery to flame or extreme heat.
  • Do not play at high volumes to protect hearing.
  • Do not expose the CD Player to excessive dust or sand, moisture, rain, or mechanical shock.
  • Do not use ethyl alcohol or benzene solvent to clean, instead, use slightly damp fabric.
  • Do not use headphones or car player when driving, cycling, or using any motorized vehicle.
  • Do not take apart, attempt repair or modify the equipment yourself. HOTT will not be responsible for damages resulting from these behaviors.
  • Do not improperly discard the package, battery and the electronic equipment.
