HORIBA warrants that the Product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship and agrees to repair or replace free of charge, at HORIBA’s option, any malfunctioned or damaged Product attributable to HORIBA’s responsibility for a period of one (1) year from the delivery unless otherwise agreed with a written agreement.
This instruction manual describes how to store data in the compact flash memory mounted in the APXX-370 series. Use the designated the compact flash memory with the HORIBA logo. The use of the compact flash memory not designated may cause a device malfunction.
When the front panel door of the APXX-370 series is opened, a compact flash memory insertion slot is located in the left side. With HORIBA logo facing the front, straightly insert a compact flash memory into the insertion slot to the end.
2 HANDLING COMPACT FLASH MEMORY Removal 1. Press the EJECT button located at the lower of the compact flash memory insertion slot. The compact flash memory pops up slightly. Press this button. Note Do not remove the compact flash memory while data is being written in it. The compact flash memory can be damaged.
3 CF MENU CF MENU The CF menu is displayed on MENU 8/8 screen of the analyzer equipped with the optional compact flash memory function. 3 CF MENU SELECT SAVE DATA TO CF Screen This screen is to select data to be stored in the compact flash memory. The [LAMP DATA] button is displayed only on the screen of APSA-370 (sulfur dioxide concentration analyzer) and APOA-370 (ozone concentration analyzer). Description of screen Press the buttons 1 to 8 to select the type of data to be stored.
3 CF MENU 3.2.1 Data selection error screen If the [SET] key is pressed on the SELECT SAVE DATA TO CF screen with no button selected, the following screen is displayed. 3.2.2 FILE NAME screen Name a file of data to be stored in the compact flash memory by using the station code and the model code.

3 CF MENU 3.3.2 START DATA LOGGING screen Description of screen Function key [NO]: Returns to the DATA LOGGING TO CF screen before starting the data logging. [YES]: Starts the data logging after the following display appears. After starting the data logging, returns to the DATA LOGGING TO CF screen.
3 CF MENU 3.3.3 STOP DATA LOGGING screen Description of screen Function key [NO]: Returns to the DATA LOGGING TO CF screen without stopping the data logging. [YES]: Stops the data logging and displays STOP LOGGING DATA screen. Returns to the DATA LOGGING TO CF screen after stopping the data logging. By pressing the [STOP] key, the DATA LOGGING STOP CANCEL screen appears.
3 CF MENU 3.3.4 DATA LOGGING STOP CANCEL screen Note Stopping the data logging will delete the data, which have not been saved in the compact flash memory. Data can be manually saved on “ 3.2 SELECT SAVE DATA TO CF Screen ” (page 5) even after the data logging is stopped.
3 CF MENU 3.3.5 WRITING to CF FAILED screen This screen appears when an error occurs while stopping the data logging. The reason for errors can be as follows: Free space in the compact flash memory is full. The compact flash memory is removed. When an error occurs, check the condition of compact flash memory and press the [RETRY] key.
3 CF MENU 3.3.6 CF Alarm The CF alarm is triggered when any trouble has occurred in data logging. Alarm rising/ extinguishing condition Compact flash memory is removed while data logging is going on. Rising Condition Space available on compact flash gets full while data logging is going on. Writing to compact flash memory has failed.
3 CF MENU 3.3.7 Internal Process of Data Logging Start/ Stop After starting the data logging, logging data are stored on RAM temporarily, then they are written in compact flash memory simultaneously with periodical and automatic data saving process. All the data stored on RAM are written in compact flash memory before the data logging stops.

3 CF MENU Data on RAM before being written When the data logging stops or at power off, data on RAM are deleted. The maximum numbers of data stored on RAM during the data logging are shown below. When the number of data exceeds the maximum number, the oldest data will be deleted.

3 CF MENU Interruption of CF memory writing (at external integration reset validity) Writing in the compact flash memory can be interrupted as follows only when the external integration reset is valid. During interruption, regular writing in compact flash memory is suspended with some exceptions.

3 CF MENU Status 2 after external integration reset Writing in CF is suspended during interruption. Interruption of writing in CF Data is written if data writing is suspended.
