I always have rv hooked to ac (50 amp) power with thermostat set to 50 in winter and 80 in summer and connected to the internet when it sits in the driveway. I came home from vacation and found that the furnace icon had been replaced by the aqua icon. Was there a software update? I have searched through the menus, and it doesn’t seem to be there. The furnace operates normally on aqua.

No, the icon change between furnace and aqua on the EasyTouch RV 351 thermostat is a cosmetic setting, not a software update. It can be toggled manually using the Furnace/Aqua button.
