Making a Call by Using the Hardware Keyboard
1. On the Today Screen, start typing in a contact's name or a phone number. The default input
mode is lowercase letters; press the Fn key twice to switch to number input mode if needed.
2. Matching contacts will be listed; select one and tap Call on the screen or press TALK (
The Call option will only appear if that contact's information includes a phone number.
3. If you do not see the number or contact name, finish entering the number or name, then tap
Call on the screen or press TALK (
To prevent accidentally tapping on the screen and activating other functions while making a phone call, tap
System tab > Key Config and select the checkbox labeled Enable LCD auto lock during phone connection.
