1. Introduction 1. Introduction This document is intended for use with Safe Fleet FOCUS H2 In-Car Video System and contains instructions for using the Safe Fleet FOCUS H2 with firmware v3.3.1. Safe Fleet manufactures state-of-the-art mobile data computers and digital video recording equipment for use in the public safety, utility and military community.
Use this Power button to turn ON the FOCUS H2 In-Car Video System. Please note that this button should not be used to power OFF the FOCUS H2 In-Car Video System as it is considered as improper shutdown and may cause media corruption. To properly shut down the FOCUS H2 system, please refer to section 5.15 of this document.

4. Logging in to the FOCUS H2 System At the start of each shift, users must log in to the FOCUS H2 system using a valid user ID and password. There are different login methods which will be described in the following sections.

Tap inside the Partner ID field on the Login screen, and type the Partner ID using the virtual keypad. When you type the first few characters of your Partner ID, the search function will display the number of matched results in the top right corner.

FOCUS H2 User Guide 5. Using FOCUS H2 In-car Video System For ALPR-licensed users, if a license plate which matches the hotlist is detected, the FOCUS H2 will emit an audible notification and display the Hotlist Hit screen as shown below.
5.1.1 Record Indicators A red LED light is situated on the front of the FOCUS H2 Camera to signify that the system is recording. It is positioned to be seen through the front windshield when the user is outside the vehicle. The indicator can be enabled or disabled by the Administrator.

On the BWC Video screen, tap the video you want to play, then click PLAY. The BWC video playback screen is displayed.

5.11 Uploading Video via a Wireless Network Users can upload videos from the Body Camera to the FOCUS H2 ICV and from the FOCUS H2 ICV to the back office. When data from the Body Camera is uploaded to the FOCUS H2 ICV, the evidence is deleted from the Body Camera, which will be uploaded to the back office with the FOCUS H2 ICV evidence.

5. Using FOCUS H2 In-car Video System 5.12 Viewing FailSafe Videos Depending on the FOCUS H2 configuration, users with permission can view the FailSafe videos. 5.15 Shutting Down the System Follow the steps below to shut down the FOCUS H2 system. Please note that the Power button on the front of the LCD monitor should not be used to power OFF the FOCUS H2 system as it is considered as improper shutdown and may cause media corruption.
7.1.1 ALPR Camera An in-car-mounted third camera configured for ALPR with an ALPR license will capture license plates, and the FOCUS H2 system will check license plate reads against hotlists for possible matches. Then, the hotlist hits and license plate data will be aggregated into the License Plate Aggregation (LPA) App.

Follow the steps below to add license plates to the manual hotlist. Please note that the manual hotlist only applies to the FOCUS H2 locally, and will not be pushed to the License Plate Aggregation (LPA) App or other vehicles.
7.2 Recharging the UPS Battery in Storage FOCUS H2 batteries are Lithium-ion and should be in an environment that is less than 45 °C (113 °F) for long-term storage. For optimal performance and retention of maximum charge capacity, we recommend that unused batteries be recharged every three months.
