Troubleshooting
Ice
PROBLEM
Refrigerator is
leaking water
Ice forms in inlet
tube to ice maker
Water flow is
slower than normal
Ice maker is not
producing ice
POSSIBLE CAUSES
• Plastic tubing was used to complete
water connection.
• Improper water valve was installed.
• Water pressure is low.
• Freezer temperature is too high.
• Water pressure is low.
• Improper water valve was installed.
• Copper tubing has kinks.
• Ice maker arm is in OFF position.
• Household water supply is not
reaching water valve.
• Copper tubing has kinks.
• Water pressure is too low.
• Check freezer temperature.
WHAT TO DO
• The manufacturer recommends using copper tubing
for installation. Plastic is less durable and can cause
leakage. The manufacturer is not responsible for
property damage due to improper installation
or water connection.
• Check water connection procedure (see pages 9-
10). Self-piercing and

" saddle valves cause low

water pressure and may clog the line over time. The
manufacturer is not responsible for property
damage due to improper installation or water
connection.
• Water pressure must be between 35 to 100 pounds
per square inch to function properly. A minimum
pressure of 35 pounds per square inch is
recommended for refrigerators with water filters.
• Adjust freezer control (see pages 11-14). Freezer is
recommended to be approximately 0° F (-17° C).
• Water pressure must be between 35 to 100 pounds
per square inch to function properly. A minimum
pressure of 35 pounds per square inch is
recommended for refrigerators with water filters.
• Check water connection procedure in your
Installation Instructions. Self-piercing and
saddle valves cause low water pressure and may
clog the line over time. The manufacturer is not
responsible for property damage due to
improper installation or water connection.
Open water valve completely and check for leaks.
• Turn off water supply and remove kinks. If kinks
cannot be removed, replace tubing.
• Confirm ice maker arm is down. See Automatic Ice
Maker, page 18.
• See Connecting the Water Supply, pages 9-10.
• Turn off water supply and remove kinks. If kinks
cannot be removed, replace tubing.
• Water pressure must be between 35 to 100 pounds
per square inch to function properly. A minimum
pressure of 35 pounds per square inch is
recommended for refigerators with water filters.
• See Temperature Controls, pages 11-14. Freezer
temperature should be between 0° to 2° F (-18° to
-17° C) to produce ice.
