CONTROLS;
1. Volume Control The vcJu/ne control acts as a master
volume in that it controls the total signal tevel delivered
from all 3 pickups to the output jack. Rotating the con¬
trol knob clockwise wNI increase volume; rotating
counterclockwise wifi reduce volume,
2- Tone Control: The tone control, like the volume con¬
trol. acts as a master conirol. Rotating clockwise will
result in s brighter tonalitv (more treble). Rotating
counterclockviiee wKI result in less treble and a "bossief*'
type sound.
3. Pickup Selector Switch: There are three indeoendent
selector switches (one for each pickup); neck sir^gle coil,
on-off, middle single coll, on-off Bridge humbucking;
humbucking-ofl single coil. Pickups can be used In¬
dividually or in any combination (see diagram),
PICKUP ADJUSTMENT:
The height of the pickups may be ad)USTed by turning
the height adjusting screws on the pickup trim rings. Turn¬
ing the screws clockwise will raise the pickups. Turning the
screws counterclockwise will lower the pickup.
NOTE:
CARE MUST BE TAKEN TO MAINTAIN ADEQUATE
CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE PICKUPS AND STRINGS.
INADEQUATE CLEARANCE WILL RESULT IN LOSS
OF SUSTAIN AND POSSIBLE STRING BUZZING WHEN
PLAYING ON THE UPPER FRETS. MINIMUM RECOM¬
MENDED CLEARANCE IS
'h"
(.125")
When fidjueting pickup height, care should be taken to
ensure that the lop surface of the pickup Is parallel to the
string plane Improper adjustment can cause reduced pickup
output and reduced hum cancellation.
The six individual pole piece screws on the bridge
pckup allowcriHcal pickup adjustment for each string. Rele-
Ing or lowering screws will Increase or decrease sensitivity.
