  • Page 7: Programming The Wheelchair Loading System Elive

Installation Programming the wheelchair loading system eLiVe Setup and programming functions: We deliver every eLiVe with a program that includes a preinstalled default loading curve. The default curve is so programmed that the system moves to the maximum end position of the respective actuators. The program is designed so that only the end and intermediate positions need to be changed for individual programming.

Installation Two different programming levels are available • Basic programming • Enhanced programming Basic programming: In this mode the positions 0 - A - B can be programmed. 0 Comfort setting, here the eLiVe retracts to its smallest overall dimension (smallest overall dimension, e.g.

Installation 2. Enhanced programming: In this mode, positions C - D - E are programmed. If a wheelchair is too large to fit through the door opening or if the door height itself is too low, then additional points must be entered during programming. The positions C- D- E are stop and start points that are additionally inserted into the tilting and lifting phases of the loading curve.

  • Page 11 Installation CAN connection cable and power supply: This cable supplies the box with power and connects it to the eLiVe via the CAN interface. 2. On/off switch: Switch on to start the programming process. A short beep will sound after switching on and the orange LED flashing lights on the eLiVe will light up continuously.

The selected program mode is then displayed by a control lamp above the switch. basic = 3 point settings enhanced = 6 point settings reset = return to default settings 8.
  • Page 13: Preparations For The Programming Process

Installation Preparations for the programming process: Important: All assembly and adjustment work (except for attaching the securing flanges) on the eLiVe should be completed before programming. Repositioning the tilt arm limit switch requires at least the zero position to be reprogrammed. Caution: Controlling the motors individually by means of the rotary switch or extending or retracting the eLiVe using the pre-installed program poses a...

Installation Basic programming: In this mode, only the end and intermediate points 0 - A - B will be programmed. 0 Comfort setting, here the eLiVe retracts to its smallest dimension. (smallest dimension, e.g. for installation/removal or for using the seat if the wheelchair loading system hinders its use when the eLive is in the transport position).
  • Page 15: Programode: Basic, Save Position 0

Installation Programode: basic, save position 0 End setting 0: Comfort position In this position, the loading system is retracted to its smallest dimension so that the single seat on the right is free and the left door can be closed without collision. •...

  • Page 17: Programode: Basic, Save Position B

Installation Programode: basic, save position B End setting B / transport position: This is the position the wheelchair should be in during transport. The wheelchair is fully loaded into the vehicle so that the left door can close without collision and the wheelchair is not being crushed.
  • Page 18: Completing The Basic Programming

Installation Completing the basic programming When the eLiVe is programmed to your satisfaction, switch off the programming box and unplug the cable connecting it to the service connector. Then plug the adapter plug (120 ohm resistor) back into the eLiVe‘s service connection. Programming additional loading curves: In order to program additional loading curves, the loading system must be equipped with the wheelchair recognition system.
  • Page 19: Enhanced Programming

Installation Enhanced programming: In this mode, positions C - D - E will be programmed. If the wheelchair is large or the door height is low so that the wheelchair does not fit through, additional points must be added to the programme. The positions C- D- E are stop and start points that are additionally inserted into the tilting and lifting phases of the loading curve.
  • Page 20: Programode: Enhanced, Save Position C

Installation Programode: enhanced, save position C Intermediate setting C / Stopping point In this position, the stopping point is saved at which the wheelchair stops with the large wheels in front of the axle. This is necessary in vehicles with little overhead space so that the wheelchair does not get stuck in the door opening when rolling over the axle.

Installation Programode: enhanced, save position D Intermediate settings D: 2 x stopping points In this position, stopping points for unloading and loading are set. There are two different variants for this; However, the programme automatically recognises during programming which variant you have chosen.

Installation Programode: enhanced, save position E Intermediate setting E: path marker point This position saves the starting point from which the tilt arm and lift plate assembly can continue unloading the wheelchair. To do this, the wheelchair must be driven far enough out of the vehicle that it cannot be trapped in the door opening when it is tilted out further.
