Safety information General information General safety information The Twister is a pre-assembled component that comes ready to install. It was designed and built in line with carefully chosen harmonised standards that must be observed, as well as further technical specifications. Consequently, it is a state-of-the-art product and provides the best possible level of safety while in operation.
Safety information Intended use • This Twister is only suitable for use in the named vehicle types; it may only be installed in these vehicle types. • The Twister replaces an original seat without a lateral airbag. • The swivel functions are only intended to make vehicle entry and exit easier for people up to a maximum body weight of 160 kg.

Operation OPERATION Safety information Keep the installation and operating instructions together with the vehicle documents. ATTEN- TION! Arrange for any irregularities to be examined by a workshop. Operation Operate the seat as per the information provided by the vehicle manufacturer. The standard functionality of the seat remains fully intact.
Tightening torques The tightening torques as specified by the vehicle manufacturer apply when converting vehicles using Veigel driving aids. Unless otherwise stated in the text, the usual DIN tightening torques provided ATTEN- in the table below apply for Veigel parts. TION!
Assembly Removing the original seat Only trained individuals may make modifications to or work on airbag systems. ATTEN- TION! Add the Twister and installation kit to the vehicle documents in accordance with Section19 Paragraph 2 and Section 21 of the StVZO (Straßenverkehrs- Zulassungs-Ordnung, the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations).
Assembly Positioning the template Use the template to establish the correct position. Dimension X should be in the bottom third of the B-pillar. Make sure that this does not make dimension Y too small and leaves sufficient clearance to the B-pillar. Use the spirit level to ensure the installation frame is straight, both lengthwise and crosswise.
Assembly Customising the angle brackets Screw the centre punch into the threaded hole for the vehicle seat. Bend an angle bracket and position it over the centre punch. Use a hammer to punch-mark the bracket. Figure 5.5: Punch-marking Customise each angle bracket individually.
Assembly Belt connection Choose a suitable location on the two rear angle brackets for the seat belt buckle and strap. Strictly observe the provisions of technical regulation ECE R-14 on safety-belt anchorages when customising these parts. Assembly Assembling the Twister Screw the Twister and the installation frame together. Use the M8x25 fillister-head screws, 8.4 washers and M8 hexagon nuts to do this.
