    • If the driving aid is fitted in an authorized workshop, the fitting record sheet must be completed (see appendix). If factory fitted, a separate fitting record sheet will be drawn up and archived at the Veigel factory. Do not attach MyBase close to vehicle controls.
  • Page 8 General Information Important notes for the user: • When using and operating the driving aid, observe the generally recognized codes of practice. • Observe the applicable accident prevention and safety specifications when WARNING! operating the driving aid. • Only operate the driving aid if it is in a perfect and functional condition. Have any faults repaired immediately.

    The Veigel multifunction control knob MyCommand has been developed for people with limited mobility who have complete function of the fingers. Veigel MyCommand can be used to operate all secondary functions, e.g., turn signals, wipers, lights, and horn, without taking the hands from the driving aid.

    Operation Safety instructions If the appropriate entry is not shown on the driver's license, the MyCommand unit must be removed and switched off. WARNING! Take the time to familiarize yourself with the adapted vehicle. It may be a good idea to pay a visit to a driver training area to get used to the new style of operation.

  • Page 16 Operation Range of functions Teaching-in Switch off the ignition. To activate the teach-in mode, press buttons 3 / 9 / 4 all at the same time until a confirmation tone is heard. An intermittent tone is then heard, signaling that teach-in mode is active.

    For vehicle adaptations using Veigel driving aids, the tightening torques prescribed by the vehicle manufacturer apply. For Veigel parts, the usual DIN standard tightening torques from the following WARNING! table apply unless other tightening torques are mentioned in the text.

    Fitting Fitting of the steering wheel control knob bracket Take apart the two halves of the cover and place them in the desired position on the steering wheel rim. The long button faces inward toward the steering column. Using the M6x30 cylinder head screws and the 6.5 washers, tighten the two halves of the cover together.

    Maintenance / care Cleaning Do not use harsh cleaning products or solvents when cleaning Under no circumstances can the MyCommand unit be cleaned under running water or immersed in water. Use dampened soft microfiber cloths or chamois leather. Battery condition If three beeps are heard on switching ON the ignition, the AAA batteries must be changed.
