Before doing so, you may want to recall important data and write it down (if you don’t yet have a copy). You can then re-input the data after clearing PV Unit memory. Continued problems after performing the RESET operation can indicate a serious hardware problem. Consult with your nearest CASIO dealer if problems persist.

Power Supply Your PV Unit can be powered by two AAA-size alkaline batteries. Important! • Normally the flash memory of the PV Unit retains its data even when power is turned off and when batteries go dead. Mis-operation or other problems, however, can cause data to become corrupted or lost.
Chapter 1 Getting Acquainted • Never mix old batteries and new ones. • Do not expose batteries to direct heat, let them become shorted, or try to take them apart. • Never leave dead batteries in the battery compartment. • Remove the batteries if you do not plan to use the PV Unit for a long time.
To replace the batteries Important! • Always make sure the battery switch is in the NORMAL OPERATION position at all times, except when replacing batteries. 1. Turn off PV Unit power. 2. Slide the battery switch on the back of the PV Unit to the REPLACE BATTERIES position.
Chapter 1 Getting Acquainted 4. Remove both of the old batteries. 5. Load two new batteries, making sure that their positive (+) and negative (–) ends are facing in the proper directions. REPLACE BATTERIES NORMAL OPERATION 6. Taking care not to damage its tabs, replace the battery compartment cover back onto the PV Unit.
