This manual applies to IQView4 version 1.1. It is designed to help you become familiar with the principles of how to set up and use the IQView4. It is assumed that the user has a basic understanding of the IQ system as well as building control.

FPK, NDP, SDU). The adaptor plate (IQVIEW4/FPK ADAPTOR) can be used to mount to replace an FPK (2 line display, front panel kit) with an IQView4. It can also be used for replacing the old GDP, the NDP, or the new GDP+.
InsTallaTIon The IQView4 is designed for rear panel mounting. A rectangular hole needs to be cut in the panel and drilled with 2 holes according to the supplied template; the unit can be mounted using the two retaining clips and screws provided.
The screens (not the Language screen) displayed during set up have Quit, Back, and next buttons. next moves to the next stage, Back goes to the previous stage, and Quit causes the IQView4 to use the default setting and start the discovery of the attached controller.

Touch next. The iQ PIN Number screen is displayed. Touch the numbers to specify the 4-digit PIN that the IQView4 will send to the controller when it attempts to make a change. This PIN Must correspond to a level 99 user in the controller. If the controller is not PIN protected leave the setting at ‘0000’.

The IQView4 will not be able to display information from the controller until the controller is discovered. When the discovery process is complete the Touch To Login/Start screen is displayed. The screen saver prevents the screen being damaged by a single image being burnt on to the screen. IQView4 can store one single custom screen saver in addition to the default which cannot be removed. This custom screen saver can be a single graphic or a slide show of more than one graphic.

Touch ok. If files from the memory stick have been selected they will be copied onto the IQView4 as a single custom screen saver. This will replace the custom screen saver if it exists on the IQView4. A warning is given before an existing custom screen saver is removed from IQView4.

ClearType ClearType improves legibility for most on-screen fonts. However, in some cases such as simplified Chinese where pictorial fonts are used, it should be turned OFF. IQView4 sets this automatically depending on language selection, however this can be overridden.
Touch Idle Timeout. The Idle Timeout screen is displayed. Touch to select the required idle timeout. The IQView4 will scroll through the options in the following order ‘No Timeout’, ‘1 Minute’, ‘2 Minutes’, ‘3 Minutes’, ‘4 Minutes’, and ‘5 Minutes’. (Default = ‘No Timeout’).
The IQ PIN number is specified during the initial power up procedure. It is sent to the controller to authorise changes made by the IQView4 if the controller has security enabled. It Must correspond to a level 99 user in the controller.

IQView4 Diagnostics IQVIew4 DIagnosTICs IQView4 has a number of diagnostic features which are available from the Settings screen when logged in an ‘Administrator’ user, other users do not have access to the diagnostic features. You should only enable these features if asked to do so a Trend technical support.
