    • Verify that the supply voltage is correct. Report missing or damaged parts immediately to ensure that proper credit is received from AGI or your distributor/dealer, and to ensure that any missing parts can be shipped quickly to avoid holding up the installation.

    4.2. Installing the Roof Exhauster Fan Important Due to the variations of sheets (both AGI and non-AGI), fit must be determined through adjusting placement of the fan. Note that this should be done as part of roof assembly, not after sidewall construction.

    In the United States: Ensure proper electrical ground in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association). • AGI recommends that grain bin electrical devices be connected to a ground rod that is no further than 8' (2440 mm) away from the bin foundation.

    5. OPERATION 24" ROOF EXHAUSTER FAN – BIN ACCESSORIES 5. Operation For optimal operation, follow these safety precautions, checklists, and instructions. 5.1. Operation Safety • Ensure the fan inlet, outlet, bin floor ductwork and roof vents are not plugged with any foreign material.

    5. OPERATION 24" ROOF EXHAUSTER FAN – BIN ACCESSORIES 5.3. Ventilation • Ensure that the Roof Exhauster Fans are electrically interlocked with aeration fans to prevent the possibility of fans operating independently. • Adequate ventilation and/or “makeup air” devices should be provided for all powered air handling systems. Make certain aeration fans always push more air into the bin than Roof Exhauster Fans are pulling out.

    • After maintenance is complete, replace all guards, service doors, and/or covers. • Use only genuine AGI replacement parts or equivalent. Use of unauthorized parts will void warranty.
