THE ELECTRONIC PROGRAM GUIDE (EPG)

Mode, to select the TV or Radio mode to show;

List, to select the list in all channels, current satellite or personal favorite;
I
Date, to access the EPG calendar;
I
Timers, to select and set the DVR, VCR or Reserved timer;
I
Zoom, to expand or shrink the EPG window as a function of the time slot.

Familiarization
Most digital channels transmit program data as an EPG.
Digital channels that transmit EPG offer you program
information in advance for a certain period of time.
Dependent of the service provider, EPG is offered in
different ways.
After you have entered the EPG, you can select the
different EPG options, these are:
The event timers are a kind of alarm clock. An event
timer reminds you when a timed program or recording
starts. You can set the next timers:
I
DVR timer, to automatically record a program onto
the hard disk.
I
VCR timer, to automatically switch over to the timed
program before it really starts. This allows you to
record a program on a video tape (video recorder);
I
Reserved timer, to automatically switch over to the
timed program before it really starts or when the
receiver is in standby, to switch on the receiver.
If a timer is set on a program that is shown in the EPG,
the relevant data is already shown in the timer. You can
change the settings as follows:

Date, to set the start date for the timer;
I
Start time, to set the start time in hours/minutes;
I
Stop time, to set stop time in hours/minutes;
I
Period, to set the timer once or repeat for every
occurrence;
I
Favorite list, to select a list where to save the
recording (none saves into the all files list).
I
Parental lock, to lock or hide the recording
automatically.
I
Status, to set (active) or delete (inactive) the timer.
I
Store settings, to program the timer.
