#NK36-B501 BIRCH LOG SET

For use with model #NDK-36-DV

NOTE: Log numbers are located on the bottom or side of each log. Refer to the following instructions and illustration for proper

placement. Your components may look different than the ones shown.

CAUTION: Do not place logs directly over burner port holes. Improper log placement may affect flame appearance and may cause

excessive soot to build upon the glass.

If converting to propane, complete the conversion before installing the log set. Follow the conversion instructions included

with the kit.

If installing a panel set, complete installation of panel set before log installation

•

Install all light bulbs into the front and rear ember bed light kits before log installation.

1. Remove valance from fireplace.

2. Place log #N36-B1 and log #N36-B2 on corresponding pins on burner (not shown). Logs must lie flat on media tray. Failure to do

so will negatively affect the flame

3. Place log #N36-B3 on the corresponding pin on top of #N36-B2. Rotate the opposite end of #N36-3 towards the back of the

fireplace.

4. Place log #N36-B4 on the corresponding pin on top of #N36-B3. The other end of the #N36-B4 log will lay on the log plate locat-

ed in the rear center of the fireplace.

5. Fill back media tray with crushed glass media.

6. Place log # N36-B5 so the left side of the log aligns on the pin on top of #N36-B1. Place the right side of the log on the exposed

pin on log #N36-B4.

Page 3 #NK36-B501 BIRCH LOG SET For use with model #NDK-36-DV 7. Install the crushed media on the ember- bed and lava rock along the sides of the emberbed. 8. Place log #N36-B6 on the left burner assembly by aligning the pins on the burner and the holes in the bottom of the log.
Page 4 #NK36-B501 BIRCH LOG SET For use with model #NDK-36-DV Rockwool Installation • After installation of the log set you can apply rockwool across logs N36-B6, N36-B7, left & right burner screen and rear burner. • Use a small brush to brush the rockwool across the locations referenced above. Rockwool will provide a glow as the fireplace operates.
