The binding posts for the speakers can be used with banana plugs, spades, and bare wire. We recommend using very sensitive speakers (at least 98dB) if you want to utilize the MZ3 as a speaker amplifier.

Previous Input (<) will descend through available inputs. Hold the Next Input button to pair the remote to your MZ3. The toggle switch on the front panel will not correspond with the selected input if you use the remote.

VOL Buttons: Adjusts the volume. The Plus (+) button will increase the volume. Press the Minus (-) button to decrease the volume of the selected input. Speaker and headphone output volumes are independent. Up and Down Buttons: In Menu mode, they scroll up and down. Left and Right Buttons: Unused unless activated in the Menu to function as Balance control or input selectors.

L-R Remote Arrows: There are two functions that can be selected for the Left-Right Arrow buttons as follows: Off – the remote Left-Right arrow buttons are deactivated. BAL – the remote Left-Right arrow buttons will control the balance. Reset to Default: The amplifier controls are set to Balance = 0, Display Timeout = Off, Home Theater Mode = None, and Display Brightness = 1, and Remote Left-Right Arrow buttons set to Not Active.

12AU7 tubes for the 12AT7s. Do not use 12AX7s. When replacing the tubes, use matched pairs. Fuses: The MZ3 has two fuses. On the audio board in the amplifier case there is a 2.5A Fast Blow fuse. Inside the external power supply case there is one 4A Slow Blow fuse near the IEC inlet.
